SEC Small Business Capital Formation Advisory Committee (SBCFAC) To Revisit Improvements To IPO Market Following Shortened Meeting

The Securities and Exchange Commission, Small Business Capital Formation Advisory Committee (SBCFAC), will continue its discussion on initial public offerings (IPOs) next week due to a truncated meeting that took place on July 21st.

The meeting, which will be livestreamed on the SEC website, will commence at 1 PM ET on Thursday, August 6th

The Committee will continue to engage in discussion regarding topics raised during its prior meetings on April 28, 2026 and July 21, 2026 and deliberate on potential recommendations to reduce regulatory friction and facilitate capital formation in the public securities markets.

The meeting on the 21st of July included presentations by Daniel Zinn, GC at OTC Markets, and Sue Washer, a biotech consultant and former CEO of an issuer.

The SEC has a determined goal to “make IPOs great again” while boosting access to capital in general.
