Fine & Country appoints advisor for French expansion
Fine & Country has appointed Sébastien Tedesco as consultant and advisor to support the estate agency network’s expansion into the French market.
Tedesco will work alongside international executive consultant Jonathan Handford to establish the brand’s presence in France through a licensing model with a set licence fee. The appointment forms part of Fine & Country’s strategy to replicate its UK growth by building what the company describes as a network in France.
Tedesco brings nearly two decades of real estate industry experience, having previously served as CEO of Keller Williams France. He has also authored a book on real estate and provides coaching and training to professionals in the sector.
Market expansion strategy
The move comes as UK-based property businesses continue to explore international markets. Fine & Country’s licensing approach mirrors strategies used by other firms seeking to expand their geographic footprint while maintaining brand consistency.
Jonathan Handford said the company aims to invest in the French market with appropriate personnel and structure. He noted that Tedesco’s knowledge of the French real estate sector and experience in developing businesses would support the network’s growth.
Nicky Stevenson, managing director of Fine & Country, stated the company is focused on combining its international brand with local professional expertise. She described France as a strategically important market for the business.
Build-to-rent sector appointment
Separately, Leaf Living has appointed David Mullin as chief financial officer. The single-family rental housing provider has recruited Mullin from Sage, where he served as managing director of commercial operations and previously held finance leadership roles.
Mullin has over 20 years of experience in residential and corporate finance, including eight years in senior financial positions at Berkeley Homes. His career began at healthcare company GSK.
The appointment follows a period of growth in the build-to-rent and single-family rental sectors, with institutional investors increasing their presence in the UK residential market.
Will Montague, chief executive officer at Leaf Living, said Mullin’s financial and operational experience would support the business as it scales operations.
Both appointments reflect continued investment in leadership across different segments of the UK property market, from traditional estate agency to the growing institutional rental sector.
