Edenred Upgrades Forecast Amid Early Gains
Edenred, which provides digital solutions for employees, fleet managers and corporate payments across 44 countries, is seeing early results from its tech-heavy strategic plan Amplify 25-28, Edenred Chairman and CEO Bertrand Dumazy said in a Thursday (July 23) press release.
Reporting Edenred’s first-half results, Dumazy said the company upgraded its EBITDA guidance to a decline of between 7% and 10%, compared to the previous guidance of 8% to 12%, and confirmed its EBITDA growth outlook of 8% to 12% for both 2027 and 2028.
Dumazy attributed this year’s drop to regulatory changes in Brazil and Italy, adding that the company has achieved better results than it anticipated. He also highlighted double-digit growth in Edenred’s mobility business.
“Even in these countries under regulatory reset, we recorded solid growth in business volume, which demonstrates the unique strength of Edenred’s value proposition,” Dumazy said in the release.
Edenred’s digital solutions for employees include meal vouchers, commuting, gift cards, wellness, rewards and preferential offers; those for fleet managers include EV charging, maintenance services, VAT refund services, tolls and parking; and those for corporate payments include virtual cards, according to the release.
The company’s mobile applications, online platforms and cards connect 60 million users with the products and services of 2 million partner merchants, per the release.
“In the meantime, we have continued the successful rollout of our Amplify 25-28 strategic plan,” Dumazy said in the release. “Investments in data and AI as well as efficiency measures and further portfolio rationalization are set to amplify our performance.”
The early gains of Amplify 25-28 are evidenced by generative engine optimization (GEO) that drove a 10% increase in new small- to medium-sized business (SMB) clients signed in the first half; an acquisition of TMH Solutions in Germany that strengthened Edenred’s EV offering; and an agentic AI-focused reinvention of Edenred’s lead-to-order process that boosted SMB acquisition at lower cost, according to the release.
Edenred unveiled Amplify 25-28 in November, saying that the strategic plan would drive revenue growth and EBITDA growth by leveraging its digital platform, strategic investments in data and AI, a global efficiency program and continuous optimization of its products.
“By placing data and AI utilization at the heart of our model, our intention is to attract more clients, increase both the number of the value of solutions we offer them, and make our user base more active to better monetize it, particularly with merchants,” Dumazy said at the time in a press release.
