Drew Barrymore Dumps Westchester Home Months After Listing

Drew Barrymore’s character is plagued with short-term memory loss in “50 First Dates,” but the actress may want to forget the sale of her Harrison home quickly.

The talk show host unloaded her Westchester County property for $4.5 million, Mansion Global reported. The deal at 19 Winfield Avenue closed on Monday, but the buyer could not be determined.

What may make the sale a disappointment for Barrymore is that she put the 12-acre estate on the market four months ago, asking for $5 million. In fact, Barrymore purchased the property only two years ago for $4.4 million, a price that doesn’t reflect Barrymore’s renovation of the main house, which proved more lengthy and costly than anticipated; Barrymore described it to the Wall Street Journal as a “complete internal gut.”

The property spans nearly 7,300 square feet, breaking down the purchase price to $616 per square foot. The main home is an 18th-century mansion that occupies approximately 5,600 square feet and has five bedrooms. There’s also a pool and an additional bedroom in the poolhouse.

Barrymore described the home as an idyllic retreat from her Manhattan home base that attracts wildlife such as deer and rabbits.

She bought the property after selling her Hamptons farmhouse at 16 Old Barn Lane in Sagaponack, only weeks after putting it on the market; she asked for $8.5 million, or $1,241 per square foot. That home spent longer in Barrymore’s personal portfolio, as she had purchased it in 2019 for $5.5 million before an extensive remodeling.

Compass’ Kori Sassower and Brian Lewis had the listing. Sassower told Mansion Global that the buyers were from New York City — roughly an hour’s drive away — and plan to use the home as an escape.

There were 46 sales in Harrison during the first half of the year, according to a William Pitt Sotheby’s Realty market report, ten more than there were in the first half of 2025.
