Crypto Exchange BitMart To Wind Down Trading Platform In Phased Closure

Cryptocurrency exchange BitMart has announced it will begin an orderly wind-down of its trading platform operations. The decision follows a thorough review of the company’s current operating conditions, the broader market environment, and its longer-term strategic priorities. Officials expressed deep regret over the move while emphasizing a commitment to handling the process responsibly and transparently for users.

The wind-down will unfold across several clearly defined stages. Beginning at 01:30 UTC on July 26, 2026, the platform will suspend new user registrations, stop accepting deposits, and halt the placement of new trading orders.

Futures trading will shift into reduce-only mode, preventing the opening of fresh positions, while spot markets will no longer accept new orders.

Automated features such as copy trading, grid trading, and API-based trading will also cease at this point.

Users with outstanding orders are expected to cancel them, or the system may do so automatically. One month later, at 01:00 UTC on August 26, 2026, all trading services—including spot and futures—will be fully discontinued.

Any remaining open futures positions may be settled by the platform according to applicable mark prices, index prices, or other settlement rules that will be detailed in subsequent notices.

Products under the BitMart Earn suite, along with staking, lending, and Launchpad offerings, will be phased out gradually, with specific redemption and settlement guidance to follow through official channels.

Platform operations are scheduled to end completely at 15:59 UTC on January 31, 2027.

After this date, users will retain limited access for a period to review account history and process remaining withdrawals.

Withdrawal services will stay available throughout the transition.

BitMart strongly urges customers to close any open positions, complete or update identity verification (KYC) where necessary, redeem funds from earn or staking products, cancel pending orders, and submit withdrawal requests as early as possible.

The exchange recommends completing verification and position closures before 01:00 UTC on August 26, 2026, and submitting withdrawal requests before 05:00 UTC that same day.

Requests may face manual review covering identity checks, device and IP security, address validation, source-of-funds scrutiny, and compliance screening.

Processing will follow a first-come, first-served approach and could take longer amid high volumes or additional documentation needs.

Users are advised to download and retain records of balances, deposits, withdrawals, and trading history.

Those who miss the preferred windows will still have access to dedicated post-deadline procedures, with further instructions provided separately. Accounts subject to freezes related to disputes or sanctions will retain appeal options.

BitMart has also issued a clear warning about elevated scam risks during the wind-down.

The company will never request fees for faster processing, account unfreezing, or priority handling through unofficial channels such as Telegram, WhatsApp, or private messages.

Staff will never ask for passwords, private keys, seed phrases, or verification codes.

Customers should rely solely on the official website, app, registered email, and support ticket system.

Support remains available via the help center and ticket submission portal, though response times may lengthen due to increased inquiry volume.

Users are asked not to open multiple tickets for the same issue. In its statement, the BitMart team thanked users, partners, and employees for years of trust and support.

The exchange stressed that the wind-down aims to protect user interests while bringing operations to a responsible close. Full details and ongoing updates will continue to appear on official BitMart channels.  Users holding assets on the platform should act promptly to secure their funds in line with the published schedule.
