The Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) has commenced important maintenance work on July 17, which will lead to 7-hour-long power outages in several areas. The power is expected to resume at around 5:00 pm on Friday, and residents are advised to stay updated on their local feeder status and avoid any disruption.

BESCOM Power Cut Today:

As per the Native Planet report, most maintenance activities occur between 10:00 AM and 5:00 PM today. Technicians are working on cable shifting and pole replacement. They are also performing essential feeder upgrades. These improvements aim to reduce future faults during the monsoon season. However, sudden rain could delay restoration beyond the initial schedule. Due to this maintenance work, several areas in North, East, West and South division of Bengaluru is expected to be impacted.

East division of Bengaluru: Power cut could be between 10 am to 4 pm on July 17. Affected areas include Indiranagar, HAL 2nd Stage, and Domlur.

South Division: Areas like Jayanagar 4th Block, JP Nagar, and BTM Layout could face power disruptions between 11 am to 5 pm.

West Division: Rajajinagar, Vijayanagar, and Basaveshwaranagar are among key areas to be impacted between 10 am to 3 pm.

North Division: Areas like Hebbal, Thanisandra, and Sahakar Nagar may not receive electricity between 11 am to 5 pm.
