In an official media statement released on Friday, a spokesperson for Adani Enterprises Limited stated that the reports circulating about the company’s supposed plans to launch an airline were entirely baseless and factually incorrect. “We would like to categorically deny the recent media reports and market speculation suggesting that Adani Enterprises is planning to launch an airline. These reports are entirely baseless and factually incorrect,” the spokesperson said.
The company further clarified that no such proposal was under consideration at present. “Adani Enterprises is not evaluating any proposal to enter the airline business,” the statement added.
The clarification comes amid growing chatter in business and financial circles about the possibility of the Adani Group diversifying into aviation, following its expanding footprint across airports, energy, infrastructure, and logistics. However, with this latest statement, the group has sought to put an end to the speculation, reiterating that there is no move afoot to launch a new airline venture.
