Ordering an LPG cylinder may now be as simple as ordering groceries online. In a first for India’s quick commerce sector, Instamart has partnered with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (HPCL) to enable doorstep delivery of select LPG cylinders through its app. The new service is aimed at making access to cooking gas quicker and more convenient, while continuing to follow all safety and regulatory requirements.

Instamart LPG Gas Cylinder Delivery: Where Is the Service Available?

The service has been launched only in Bengaluru and is currently available in eligible areas covered by Instamart’s delivery network. The companies have not yet announced when the facility will be extended to other cities. Customers outside Bengaluru will have to wait for further updates on the rollout.

How to Order an HPCL LPG Cylinder on Instamart

The booking process is similar to ordering any other product on Instamart.

• Open the Instamart app.
• Search for the available HPCL LPG cylinders.
• Select the preferred cylinder.
• Complete the order and provide the required details.
• The cylinder will be delivered by HPCL’s authorised distributor through trained delivery personnel.

Although the booking happens on Instamart, the delivery is carried out through HPCL’s authorised distribution network to comply with safety and regulatory norms.

Which HPCL Gas Cylinders Are Available on Instamart?

At present, customers can order the HP Navya 10 kg Composite LPG Cylinder and the HPCL 5 kg Metal LPG Cylinder. These smaller cylinders are designed for consumers who may not require a standard 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder.

The HP Navya cylinder also offers additional convenience. It is lighter than traditional steel cylinders, resistant to corrosion and features a translucent body that allows users to check the remaining gas level without having to guess.

Do You Need an Existing LPG Connection?

One of the biggest advantages of the new service is that customers do not need an existing domestic HPCL LPG connection to purchase these cylinders. However, first-time buyers must complete identity verification and the required documentation before the cylinder is handed over.

The first order is treated as a new cylinder purchase. For every refill after that, customers will have to return the empty HPCL cylinder to the delivery personnel before receiving a filled replacement cylinder.
