Karnataka weather on the weekend is going to be rainy as the Indian Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert for many districts in Karnataka.

As per the latest update by the weather department the karnataka weather is going to see heavy rainfall, light to moderate showers and high speed in a different part of the state for the next 24 hours.

The Karnataka rain alert covers Dakshin karnataka, Udupi Kodagu which are expected to receive heavy rain. Since the southwest monsoon is currently active the rainfall spell will continue in coastal Karnataka, Malnad and other regions.

Even bengaluru weather is likely turn rainy today since south interior karnataka has under rain alert with gusty wind of 40KM per hour.

Heavy Rain Alert for Coastal Karnataka

As per IMD’ latest update, the coastal belt of the state is under alert to revive heavy rainfall in some places in the next 24 hours. Meanwhile, Uttara Kannada will receive light to moderate rainfall at most places, with similar wind speeds.

Residents in the coastal belt have been advised to stay cautious as heavy rain may lead to waterlogging, poor visibility and other disruption.

Kodagu on Heavy Rain Watch; Bengaluru Among Districts to Receive Showers

In the South Interior Karnataka and the Malnad region, Kodagu district has been placed under a heavy rainfall alert, The weather department has also forecast light to moderate rainfall at a few places across several districts, including:

Bengaluru Weather Today

As per IMD’s Bengaluru weather forecast, the city will see cloudy sky, with light to moderate rainfall expected in some parts over the next 24 hours.

Winds are likely to blow at 30-40 kmph, making conditions cooler but increasing the possibility of traffic congestion during peak hours.

IMD Advisory For Residents

The IMD has advised residents in affected districts to be cautious during the time of heavy rainfall and strong winds. People living in low-lying or flood-prone areas should remain alert, while motorists are advised to drive carefully due to reduced visibility and slippery road conditions.
