&Partners Adds $864M Team From Wells Fargo Advisors

&Partners, a St. Louis-based hybrid broker/dealer launched by David Kowach, the former president and CEO of Wells Fargo Advisors, has added an eight-person team in Saratoga Springs, N.Y. with $864 million in pre-hire assets under management.

Foothills Legacy Wealth Management has joined from Wells Fargo Advisors. The firm is led by co-founders Andrew Cook and Gerard Mehan, who had been with Wells Fargo for the last seven years. Prior to that, they were with Merrill Lynch.

Their team also consists of Christopher Cassidy, partner and director; Joanne Windas, partner and director; Brandie Mulligan, director of planning; Courtney Fagan, financial consultant; Susan Mallery, senior client relationship manager; and Gregory St. Denis, senior client relationship manager.

This represents the 13th advisor practice to join &Partners this year.

This follows news in June that &Partners recruited three advisor teams with a combined $1.6 billion in pre-hire AUM, all from Wells Fargo Advisors. That included Wavewood Private Wealth, a practice in Basking Ridge, N.J. with over $574 million in pre-hire AUM; Brookside Wealth Advisors, with about $550 million in pre-hire AUM; and Three Points Wealth Planners, a Dana Point, Calif.-based team with about $450 million in pre-hire AUM.

&Partners has had much success recruiting advisors from Wells Fargo, Kowach’s former employer. Kowach co-founded &Partners in 2023 along with Kristi Mitchem, one of Wealth Management’s Ten to Watch in 2026, and John Alexander.

The firm now has 117 advisor practices, representing about $58 billion in assets as of the end of June.
