Cboe Global Markets Posts Record Second-Quarter Revenue, Raises 2026 Growth Targets | LeapRate

Cboe Global Markets reported record financial results for the second quarter of 2026, with net revenue climbing 25 percent year over year to $731.6 million, the exchange operator announced Thursday.

Diluted earnings per share for the quarter reached $3.35, up 50 percent from the prior-year period. Adjusted diluted EPS came in at $3.56, a 45 percent increase. Operating income jumped 40 percent to $476.0 million, and operating margin expanded to 65.1 percent from 57.7 percent a year earlier.

Chief Executive Officer Craig Donohue, credited the results to the company’s growth strategy. He pointed to expanding event contracts, the buildout of Cboe Clear U.S., and progress toward round-the-clock market access.

Chief Financial Officer Jill Griebenow noted that the Derivatives business set a quarterly record, growing net revenue 30 percent on the strength of record index options volumes, while Cash and Spot Markets net revenue rose 22 percent and Data Vantage grew 15 percent.

Segment performance was broadly positive. Options net revenue hit a record $473.9 million, up 30 percent, driven by a 26 percent rise in total options average daily volume. North American Equities and Europe and Asia Pacific also posted record net revenue, up 17 percent and 20 percent, respectively. Futures and Global FX grew by 2 percent and 17 percent, respectively.

On the back of strong first-half performance, Cboe raised its 2026 organic total net revenue growth target to “mid to high teens” from “low double-digit to mid teens.” It also lifted its Data Vantage organic growth target to “low teens.”

The company reaffirmed adjusted operating expense guidance of $838 million to $853 million and returned capital to shareholders through $75.7 million in dividends and $32.6 million in share buybacks during the quarter.
