Vedanta Share Price Today: Shares of Vedanta Limited remained under pressure on Friday, July 31, a day after the metal-to-mining conglomerate reported first quarter result for the financial year 2026-27. The Anil Agarwal-led metal giant reported a 71% year-on-year jump in profit.
Vedanta share price was trading 0.24% lower at Rs 266.95 per share on BSE with a market capitalisation of Rs 1,04,329.15 crore at 11 am, The stock touched an intraday high mark of Rs 269.00 per share and an intraday low mark of Rs 263.20 per share during the trading session.

Vedanta Q1 Result Review
Vedanta’s first quarter result was broadly in line with expectations, led by favourable LME, better volume growth, high premium, and forex gains, according to experts. Revenue from Zinc segment was among the strongest performer during the quarter.
“VEDL’s 1QFY27 performance came largely as expected, supported by better volumes and favorable LME prices. Management targets to maintain strong growth in earnings, driven by the upcoming capacity supporting higher VAP products and a favorable pricing environment,” stated Motilal Oswal in its report.
The sequential improvement in the quarterly performance was driven by sharp uptick in Hindustan Zinc profitability as it contributed around 95.6% of consolidated EBITDA, helping log a strong first quarter performance, according to Emkay Global report.
Vedanta Share Price Recommendation
Emkay Global maintained a ‘Buy’ recommendation with a target price of Rs 350 per share. “We keep FY27E EBITDA broadly intact, while lowering FY28-29E EBITDA by 4% to incorporate a more conservative Ag price of $60/oz (vs $65/oz earlier). We maintain BUY on the stock and TP of Rs 350,” stated the brokerage in its report.
Motilal Oswal maintained a ‘Neutral’ rating for the stock with a target price of Rs 290 per share. “The stock currently trades at 7.6x EV/EBITDA on the FY28 estimate. Based on our SoTP valuation, we derive a fair value of ~INR290/share, with the Zinc business remaining the largest contributing vertical. We reiterate our Neutral rating on the stock,” stated the brokerage.

Anil Agarwal-led Vedanta Limited reported a whopping 71% year-on-year jump in its consolidated net profit to Rs 5,473 crore in the first quarter of financial year 2026-27. The metal to mining conglomerate’s net revenue surged by 50% on a year-on-year basis.
