IC Returns to German Football with RB Leipzig Following Haas and Tennis Deals

German football club RB Leipzig has signed
a two-season partnership with online trading and investment company IC, naming
the firm as the sleeve partner of the men’s first team.

The deal expands IC’s
sports sponsorship portfolio. This year, the company partnered with Mexican
footballer Guillermo Ochoa
after signing sponsorship agreements with the
Haas Formula 1 team and Australian
tennis player Alexei Popyrin
as part of its international brand strategy.

The move also marks
IC’s return to German football. In 2021, when operating under the IC Markets
brand, the broker
signed sponsorship agreements with six Bundesliga clubs
, including Bayer
Leverkusen, FC Augsburg and VfL Bochum.

IC Becomes RB Leipzig Sleeve Partner

Under the deal, IC
becomes an Exclusive Partner and RB Leipzig’s Official Online Trading Partner
with global category exclusivity.

The IC logo will
appear on the left sleeve of the men’s first-team shirts in Bundesliga,
DFB-Pokal and UEFA Champions League matches. The partnership also includes
stadium branding through CamCarpets and LED advertising boards, as well as
player activations and digital marketing campaigns.

IC provides access to
cash equities and contracts for difference across multiple asset
classes. The companies said the initial two-season partnership is intended to
be the first step in a broader strategic relationship.

Kleanthis Rousakis,
Executive Director of IC Markets (EU) Ltd, said the company was “delighted
to become part of the RB Leipzig family.” He said IC aims to provide
clients with a “transparent, technology-driven and high-performance
environment” to access international financial markets while making
financial knowledge more accessible and encouraging responsible investing.

IC Eyes German Growth Through Football

According to the
announcement, one of the main objectives is to increase awareness of the IC
brand in Germany and international markets.

The companies also
plan educational content and digital initiatives focused on financial markets,
economic topics and responsible investing. Planned activities include
interactive campaigns, fan activations and exclusive content designed to
strengthen engagement between RB Leipzig, IC and supporters.
