  • HOUSTON—Drew Morris has joined Cush & Wakefield as Executive Managing Director. Morris joins Cushman & Wakefield’s Houston office tenant representation group. Morris joins Cushman & Wakefield from Savills, where he was an Executive Managing Director. Morris brings nearly 30 years of commercial real estate experience to his new role, where he will continue to specialize in creating and implementing real estate solutions for clients and their portfolios. Over the course of his career, he has closed more than 500 transactions on more than 11 million square feet of commercial space in Houston and across Texas.
  • DALLAS– Logistics Property Company appointed Kelan Padgett as Vice President of the company’s South Region. Based in Dallas, Texas, he is responsible for development and leasing in the region and will support the management of LogiPropCo’s Texas portfolio of more than 6.4 million square feet of Class A logistics facilities. Padgett has significant experience in the industry, having executed on more than 3 million square feet and nearly $900 million of industrial developments and acquisitions.
  • JLL’s Hotels & Hospitality group announced today that it has arranged refinancing for the Hilton Dallas Plano Granite Park, a 300-room full-service hotel in Plano, Texas. JLL worked on behalf of the borrower, Driftwood Capital, to secure the floating-rate, three-year loan through a debt fund. Driftwood Capital acquired the hotel in June 2023 and completed a comprehensive $8.5 million renovation in March 2025. The property improvements included all 300 guestrooms.
  • Scannell Properties started construction on its first industrial park in the greater Houston market. The developer broke ground on the first phase of the Chambers99 Logistics Center, a nearly 500,000-square-foot master-planned industrial development in Chambers County, Texas. The project sits along Highway 99, several miles south of Interstate 10 East. The larger of the two buildings will span 386,880 square feet, the second speculative building will total 104,520 square feet.
