Liontrust reports ‘stronger position’ with £4.7bn rise in AuMA

Liontrust Asset Management has published its results for the three months ended 30 June 2026, reporting a £4.7bn rise in assets under management and advice (AuMA).
AuMA has increased from £19.6bn, with the recently completed acquisition of River Global adding £3bn.
This deal saw Martin Gilbert join as a non-executive director, while Rebecca Shelley is set to step down from the board later this year.
Net outflows over the period were £357m, which include £520m of gross institutional flows.
Liontrust Asset Management reports 22% drop in gross profit
Liontrust CEO John Ions said: “The acquisition of River Global has expanded our investment capabilities and styles, while enhancing the breadth and depth of our investment professionals.
“River Global has also added several strongly performing funds to the Group, including eight ranked in the first or second quartile of their respective sectors over three years.
“We are now in a stronger position to meet the evolving needs of investors globally and further broaden our distribution and provide clients with bespoke investment solutions.
“The integration of our fixed income teams earlier this year has already enhanced the management of existing strategies and created opportunities to offer new funds and mandates.
“The growing strength of our global distribution, client engagement, marketing reach and brand is reflected in recent mandate wins and improving net flow trends.
“Combined with our broader investment capabilities, this leaves Liontrust well placed to capitalise on the opportunities ahead.”
